im not interested in collecting all of the sets, and i construct terrain more to heighten the (fantasy) RPGs i DM then for the enjoyment of the construction itself... that being said is there anything to gain from getting them both? which set is quicker? for dungeon construction is either one more versatile? which one would mesh better with caveworks, villiageworks, castleworks ultimate? (i have caveworks, plan on getting villiageworks and castleworks ultimate asap, prolly will get the dungeonworks and castleworks classics that are available, but i am confused about the multiple choices of dungeonworks available) |

Though I don't own it yet, I'd think DungeonLinx would be the quickest of all dungeon tile sets. |

DungeonLinx is by far the quickest. I opted to go the DungeonLinx way since I really only wanted a simple yet effective way of building dungeons. Even if you decide to go the full 3D, longer build route of Gothic realms or Chunky, I would also recommend getting DungeonLinx simply because it is a beutiful set, is damn cheap, and Denny needs more pressure to release some supplemental sets

Ditto to what Shinobi said 
I started with MiniChunky Dungeons 1", but found it was taking a long time to get enough pieces together for a dungeon. With DungeonLinx I was able to put together a playable set of pieces very quickly, and now can build the 3D aspects (using Minichunk) at my leisure. As for Gothic realms - I hadn't realised it was a simpler construction that MiniChunk - might be adding that to the collection sooner than I'd thought. p.s. don't get me wrong, the MiniChunk set creates really good dungeons with a really substantial look to them, more realistic than Dungeonlinx, they just take a bit longer to put together. |
