the real question is not if someone shot themselves with an arrow, but how.

We wer drivin to our deer camp, spotted a doe in the road (this is how most Arkansas hunting tragedies start BTW) and of course unloaded off my
Blazer like a squad of infantry from a Bradley. I The doe jumped over a barbwire fence and just stood their, eyes the fiery red of Hell, snorting steam, fangs moist, a snarl on his face that would turn most to stone!!!
I opped to handle it with my trusty .357 Ruger, but it being only legal to shoot a doe with an arrow or bolt, Duffin leveled his composite bow, aimed (it was about ten feet from him, he was in the ditch twixt the barbwire and road) and,,,,,,,fired!!! But fate reared its ugly head, and Duffin was to suffer the trials of the DAMNED! The arrow went 1/2 way through a 1" thick vine hanging from an Oak, and like that .99 cent ball and paddle game, recoiled backwards and lodged into his shoulder!!! Even with his screams and our uncontrolled laughter (as we were hunting, we were hitting the Jaeger Meister since about 5:00 am and that probably helped) That Devil Doe stood his ground. And he died on that ground a second or two later from a better aimed crossbow bolt (the laser sight you can use on a crossbow in Arkansas helped). Luckily for Duffin, the razor blades on the arrow head had been shredded by the vine, and he survived. Some day I'll tell you how he blew up the "reloading room" in our law office (destroying an original Remington sculpture in the process), Blew up part of a Tyson plant by malfeasance with a natural gas powered Ford Ranger, shot (only a semi serious wound)a mountain biker with a .221 Fireball (a super high velocity varmit bullet) and worst of all WORE WHITE SOCKS WITH HIS TOO SHORT TUX PANTS AS A MEMNBER OF MY WEDDING PARTY!!!!

Yes, the DOE had fangs, huge fangs! It took four of us, armed with modern crossbows, compound bows backed by large bore revolvers, rifles and a (legally owned) full auto 12 guage (I'm not afraid of any one squirrel, but Arkansas squirrels, they come by the thousands, shreiking and biting at you with those fangs). And we lost one of our party!
Luckily, that Doe's dark magic could only come up with a "shield of invincibility" that only works once, and only against those with very low(you can guess which "Low" trait/characteristic Duffin had, but suffice to say he rolled a "1" with a D-20 to get it ).

Y'all need a "Duffin" figure. A danger to himself and all others in his group!
Cool figure potential, he is 6'5 ish, 300+ lbs, and is a dead ringer for that guy with the crowbar that smashed that figure skater's kneecap (he even wears a trenchcoat like said). At my wedding, many actually thought it was Tanya Harding's "enforcer" in the wedding party!!!

The "danger to himself and others" part certainly sounds like a couple of 2nd Lieutenants I knew....
