I work at FedEx Kinko's. For anyone who's familiar with FedEx Kinko's, we offer print services at a very high price: 89 cents a color copy. More if on anything other than laser paper. Anyway, we carry a very beefy, white cardstock (120 lbs cover). In addition, we carry an extremely expensive, extremely powerful laser printer. I'm the night manager. Put it all together, my friends. Ahhh... I've never seen such beautiful, clean builds. ![]() |

I propose a WWG Gathering in Portland, Oregon, during the evening, at the local FedEx Kinko's, hosted by DMMagic... free printing for everyone... you just have to turn up wearing an official WWG t-shirt. Bah, if only I lived closer ![]() Arabin |

Well the public part I can understand... been there, done that... but aren't his staff members also his players? That would make life easy. "Do what I told you or you will suffer a -5 to every roll in our next gaming session." I really enjoyed aspects of retail management, but there was also a lot to not like. I often think of getting back into it, setting up a gaming store, but a quick visit to any store reminds me why I don't really want to do that. Arabin |

Setting up a gaming store, I can see, any other retail work though, you can have it! I did it for a long time when I was younger, from retail sales to waiting tables, and I'm glad I don't have contact with the public anymore! Granted, there are times when the public will surprise you, but then there are those times were you've got to deal with the morons. Work in retail in a hardware store and you'll see people who really scare you. Guy came into the store I was working in one time with a propane torch that had a stuck valve. Couldn't figure out that all he had to do was unscrew the torch head and it would shut off the tank. The guy had driven from his house with the damn thing spraying propane the entire way. I'm sure the guy had gotten poisoned from breathing that gas for the entire trip as he was white as a sheet. Shoved the torch in my face and told me, hey, this won't shut off. So of course, I got a lung full of the gas too! It was a wonder he didn't blow up in his car! Almost threw up from it, and considered kicking his ass, but would have gotten fired for it. That's one of the reasons I don't ever want to work retail again! ![]() Skunk You wanna be alright you gotta walk tall Long Beach Dub Allstars & Black Eyed Peas Check out what games I’m working on and their status by visiting . . |

That would be hilarious -- 20 D&D nerds, all with baseball bats, standing outside the store window clamoring, "Where's DM Magic? WE WANT FREE PRINTING! WE DEMAND IT!" |

Many restaurants let employees have free (or reduced prices) on the food. Apparel stores have an employee discount. Heck, at Microsoft, I believe any software they make is available for something like $5. Perhaps Kinko's allows for free copying - figuring the average employee probably only does so occasionally, and then only a page or two here and there. So he's making up for hundreds of employees who never copy anything ![]() Either that, or we now have the blackmail information we need to leverage this into a sweet spot for ourselves ![]() Steve |
