In the next unfolding months we should be getting Buildings and Streets of Himmelveil *Twitch* So does that mean we are going to lost VillageWorks, as Gothic Realms replaced DungeonWorks? And if this is a yes - buy the Damn set before its too late!!!! Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

Hmm, if VillageWorks becomes "obsolete", that means it will go on sell... [/greedy] On a related note, it would be cool if there were still a way to buy the retired sets. Perhaps when the online store is finished? |

Just as a reminder...yes, CastleWorks and DungeonWorks Classic both were retired...but for those with long memories, they weren't dropped overnight. If you're a regular board visitor, you'll have plenty of warning before a product goes "off the shelves". If VillageWorks does get retired (and so far, I've not heard anything to suggest it will be), it'll be retired with a lot of fanfare and forward notice. |

Perhaps some sort of "Greatest Hits" collection in the future? ![]() Seriously though, it would be great if at least the fans could obtain some of the retired material, (those of us that weren't lucky enough to find out about the goodness of WW earlier). A disclaimer of some sort could be placed, in order to assuage any anxiety the staff would have in regards to a blackening of the company's image, (though I seriously doubt such a thing could occur, given the quality of the available sets). I must say though, that if the earlier sets are even a tenth of what is currently available, they would still trump the rest of the market's lineup. NOTE: I'm not a fanboy, I just respect the unique, beautiful art that can be made by a company with only a few people on board. The recent additions to the payroll have me both excited for the great products we have to look forward to *TWITCH*, and a bit worried for the older sets. I suppose I'll make due with the fair warning of retired sets, so long as we do indeed get a decent time frame in which they can be purchased. [/rambling] |
