Just to assure you we are indeed working on Himmelveil and that progress is being made, here are a few sneak peek texture samples for you. This represents just one of the two projects currently in production for Himmelveil. All future Himmelveil updates will be relayed through this thread. PLEASE NOTE: More sneak peeks will follow over the next two months but at a relatively slow pace. Please throw some patience our way as we put our collective noses to the grind stone. Remember that silence simply means we are working our butts off for you ![]() These are samples fresh from our "Mystery Designer" |

Once again, it looks as if you will raise the bar on yourselves. The detail is amazing! Highland_Piper: The left texture is a floor texture, it seems. There is a window reflected in the surface, it looks like. Though the top two boxes have some shading that I don't quite understand . . . |
If possible I would like to keep this thread clear of "pleas for more previews" so that when the actual previews do show up people don't have to sift through 8 million posts asking for previews.
In the FL thread you stated you were going to add pics to the top of the post ao users did not have to sort through the thread? Why don't you do that here as well...? |

I think Denny's intent is for us to post things that have more meaning to them than, "Hey, more pics already!". Since I'm sure that he is going to keep as in the loop as possible.... Right, boss? ![]() |

I understand the desire for the "more updates, please" requests being eliminated. I approve. It makes the threads unnecessarily long. I like having the pics at the top of the post. That's why I reminded Denny. And you're right, I'm sure Denny will give us plenty o' updates! ![]() |

While i play alot more D&D than i do the SWd20RPG, i have so far made far less scenery for it than the Sci-fi. While i was introduced to WWG through Village Works, an bought it for a few things, Himil (not even going to try spelling it) had not been high on my intrest list. But that floor, has litterlt floored me, the textures and details are amazing in it, while it is "fantasy", in my Sci-fi of choice there is a certain fantasy aspect. I can see a floor like that making it's way into a Jedi Temple or Royal palace... will have to keep my eye on this one a bit more. I nipped in just to look at the pretty pictures, but while the outside walls are not what i am really looking at or interested in for the most part, certain aspects of Himil could work for things i am interested in. The wide range of fantasy style dwellings and what comes with it with elves, dwarves, humans etc, and how they may design or build things i think can lead to some very interesting sets or expansions that has got me more inclined to give parts of this set much more of an intrest. Keep up the good work, and if you are going for different racial aspects in the first set, or even later ones this will be high on my purchase list (after the Sci-fi of course) for multi purpuse use, as well as maybe D&D! It could push me into actually making stuff for D&D (more than random scenery from Pubs and inns, and the occasion house) |

Denny, I'm very sorry for any derailment I may have encouraged. I just got excited, is all. I'll keep it OT from here out, to the best of my ability. ![]() Speaking of OT, I just realized that the textures you were kind enough to share with us weren't, well, streets. This bodes very well! It speaks volumes that the buildings are so far into development already. Will SoH feature an initial "street" release with a few pertinent props, like SoM did? Or will you jump into the thick of things, releasing buildings first? I'm just curious, and I really don't have a strong preference either way at the moment (I'll be buying them all, no matter what order they release in!). If I had any leanings, though, it might be towards the streets first, buildings soon after. Any way it goes, this is certainly gearing up to be absolutely amazing! |
