Wow. Awesome response. 
Denny - no worries. I been around here long enough to know what it's like when things get busy. I've had my own busy stretches, especially the last two years. I'm glad of the official word it will go out. I'm excited for folks to have access to this! And I agree, the traps and doors came out GREAT. So did the crypt. On the antiwarp walls it looks like its just a plain stone texture rather than the top of the walls. |

It is. It's one of the things on my list to go back and change. I thought the stone texture would work - and it doesn't look _bad_, but it could look better. And it's really noticeable on the traps. The other thing I want to redo are the posts. I tested both a darker stone texture (you can see that on the 3-way and 4-way posts) and a lighter texture (2-way post), and I think the lighter has a better contrast with the set - which is admittedly a dark set in general. |

Its hard to make out a lot of the stuff in the pieces picture, so its hard to judge that. Did you change the crypt nitch geometry? I never liked the way the shelves flopped around loose. I would love to see them with sides so the white inside walls can't be seen when viewed from an angle. Are you doing angled walls? Curved? |

Nice Job Robby!!!!! This is by far my number one favorite set!!!!! Love that its getting use now with the new sets!!! Will be a must buy!!!! ..........................so are you done yet???

Yeah, the photos are dark. iPhone camera is only so-so. The crypt geometry is slightly different (had to be, to be TLinx'd). The inside sides _are_ textured, so no white walls on the inside. The crypt is constructed in two parts - the front piece is a basic Tlinx wall with the post tabs, which is just a sandwich fold, then you cut out the niches (there are two of those on a page). The back piece is a longer piece that sandwich folds the sides and back and has a fold over top so you make the top, back and sides of a box (there are cut marks to remove some of the interior siding so it folds more easily). Then you glue the back to the front. The niches are the same (loose), but they're sandwich folded, so they're stronger, and don't "flop" once folded. Haven't decided on angled or curved walls yet. Depending on Denny's schedule, once I've built the anchors and make sure they look good, I thought I'd submit what I have (with the mods I've already outlined I want to make) to Denny and see what he thinks. If he says we should add more walls (this set is already mostly all walls already), then I'll do that. Other possible elements: * Columns (especially with Matt's new structure) * Stairs (at first blush, this was a bitch) * Railings |

Well, I'm really glad people are looking forward to this, and that Denny wants to release it. I love this set, and can't wait to see it get new life. That said, the bad news is that we're taking a vacation (our 11th anniversary - amazing) next week, and so all progress will be stalled next week. The good news, however, is that I was possessed to do another element today (curved wall!) - plus I got decent pics of the marble floors (and a better pic of one of the doors). Enjoy.

I did rails last night. No pics ATM, and probably none before we leave, although I'll try tonight. Stairs are next. I'm also looking at using the 4way posts as a base for a column - so probably not the huge columns that are in Matt's new booster, but something interesting, at least.

I could do it, but two things have prevented me from doing it so far: 1) WWG's texturing has come a _long_ way since GR, and the floor texturing just doesn't hold up to other TLinx floors 2) There is already an almost identical floor (and a better one) in LHDK. |

How did I miss this?!? Gothic Realms is one of my favorite sets. Oh this is in the Kitbashing zone... I usually don't pay attention to this part of the forum... Excellent work Robby. Glad to see you are able to do something like this! |
