I like the first and third best. The third is ahead, but only by a tiny amount. All are quite nice. ![]() The Auld Grump |

Long time, no post. Sigh. Anyway, I'm with Grump, the first is better, with the third is second place. The beveled upright beams in the second don't look quite right. It might have to do with the shadowing as well. In the original kitbash, I tried to keep any shadowing on the side stonework to a minimum, to make it easier to blend in. The shadowing in the second example is on one side of the beam on one, er ... side, and on the other side on the opposite side. If you have a little shadow, you can get away with that (figuring a central light source). But if you have a wide shadow, it shows up when you look at the model from a distance - more than from up close. Anyway, glad to see my kitbash being kitbashed. I would recognize my "door" anywhere. ![]() Steve |

I definitely like the 1st best as well. My sole concern was that the posts are also used at the end of each wall section. So when used on a 3" wall now there are 3 posts in a row on each side. Which seemed excessive. Thats why I included the 2nd pic with the doors on the wall, and why I'm trying to collect preferences. I suppose that when the door is used on a 3" the posts could simply be cut off. As far a the 2nd one goes, yeah I know the shadows don't fall right. What also concerned me is that siding edges at the top and bottom. I think there would be places the door couldn't be used because the don't line up with the existing textures. |

I like the third best. I don't like the three identical posts in a row you get with the first. |

I just submitted this one. Because I could get 3 doors to a page I went ahead and included both the 1st and 3rd door versions, as well as the original side door version with the 2 new interior wall textures. |

LD2062's for SM and RTS is now available! Plain posts and end posts (versions 1 and 3) frame the doorway's exterior, in both SM and RTS versions, and both have all six interiors, too! |
