I'm debating whether to buy or not. The reason I'm being wishy-washy is simply due to the fact I don't want such a complicated build, since I want to make a few ships for battles (once boarded). So, to anyone that has built one, could some of the details be left off with out spots being bare? Also, I may add to the eventually, but I do just want the basics to start with... Any feedback would be appreciated! |

I don't really think theres much that could be altered on it without a lot of kitbashing. I suppose maybe you could remove the entire midships section and simply have the fore and aft castles flush together. That would eliminate an entire mast and rigging and most of the cargo holds. But that would place the 2 remaining masts very close together. So I would think you'd have to do some kitbashing to shift the aftmast further to the stern. I would also cut down the height of the foreward mast and try to kitbash a sideways triangle sail connected it to the bowsprit rather then use the square sails. You might be able to steal it right from the seaworks ship. I don't know how it would look but you might be able to simply remove the forecastle on that size of ship. I think Shatteredragon did a smaller class ship. But with the gallery down I'm not sure, nor do I know how simple that ship is, if he did make it. But to really simplify the ship, someone would have to do an extensive kitbash to alter or remove the fore and aft castles. They are the biggest consumers of time and materials |

The ones in SC may be too small for battles. Maybe Shatteredragon's small Maiden kitbash he did? If I remember right, there was only two masts... |
