Pictures of my first protoype of a 1/4 dome glass building are now in the gallery:
It still needs work - the doors are a bit on the small side, but that shouldn't take too long to fix. It's made mostly from the windows from the office building in Mayhem Downtown.
The bits used to build this should be able to be used to make a 1/2 dome or even a full 14 inch dome
Its not geodesic, to try to cut down on the amount of scoring required, and to give nice geometries for the flat sides.
The transition from dark glass to light is meant to represent the reflection of the sky when the angle of the building changes. I'm still considering making it more gradual, but quite like the current effect.
