Well, folks...I've been bashing away lately, and have come up with some interesting stuff...thought I'd toss it out for you to look at and comment on. Hopefully, you'll be seeing it soon. First up, anyone here recall the DungeonLinX "stairs down" tiles I did, and vague references to not being done yet? Well, I also did a 3x4x2 stairs up model, which should exactly cover up the stairs down part of the stairs down tile, making it usable either way. I also decided to start working on some rail concepts. One of them that I had was a simple flatbed railcart. Print out a standard Mayhem Rail undercarriage, and then paste these flatbeds onto the top. Three to a page, in gridless, 1" and 1.5" formats (each format on its own page). This should allow for creating some rail cars sitting out on the tracks. And I bet slymoon's containers would look great sitting on them too! But the absolute MOST fun of all was my sci-fi offering (see, I'm hitting all three genre). Paul did a great job with his transition corridor from Shadowcore to Firstlight, but the one thing it didn't do is fit into the existing Firstlight build. I have plans to do a Firstlight build prettymuch by-the-book, but I wanted to show off some Shadowcore as well, so I decided to do an "Infested Escape Pod", an "Infested Tub", and a revised version of the partly-infested Corridor #2 so that you can represent a Firstlight vessel in the process of being taken over by alien "gunk". Thoughts? |

Definately cool mods. I don't have any experience with DungeonlinX but that looks useful. Isn't dungeonlinX 2.5d? Erm, not that that stops anyone from making a multi tiered 2.5d dungeon. ![]() I dig the rail car flat and am really ashamed at myself for thinking too complex. Simply is often the best! Alien gunk! Nicely done, I dig it. I actually recall an old Shadowrun module "The Universal Brotherhood" that has an ending scene that would really really work with this type of effect. |

You have been a busy boy, plus all the Wormhole work!!! Muchos respecto!! The DLinX Stairs Up has already been added to my list for the next order. The Flatbed Railcart has me thinking though. Is the Flatbed the same outer dimensions as the undercarriage piece? IMHO it may look better if it overhangs the undercarriage a little bit less than the current Train model... plus you do realise that we are now gonna need a Tractor Train Engine to pull these Flatbeds along!!!! |

The railcar flatbed (other than the hooks at either end) exactly matches the top dimensions of the undercarriage itself. I've checked, and it's larger in both dimensions than Slymoon's containers, so they'll sit on top of the flatbeds just fine. No plans to KB an engine ANYTIME soon, but I've seen an awful lot of cars just sitting there not moving, and figure that's a good enough start. |

Hmm...I REALLY REALLY like that infested escape pod. I love the shadowcore prime set, but as others have mentioned, the only piece really missing from it was the infested and infested transition pieces. That could be a follow on set all by itself when you start to think about the scope. Ah well. I have faith that we can come up with enough kitbashes to cover that area. Well, back too it. It's 127 degrees farenheit out here in the desert of the middle east. That is bloody hot. Too hot for a boy with phosphorescent eastern european skin tones.... Zip |
