I created a 2x3 cell room for the FL set as my first little bash. Oddly enough, the PDF I created looked just fine, but printed with a heavy blue cast and with almost no black to it at all - even though it looked just fine on-screen. Here is what it looks like (it's actually a little rough - the only thing I've spent time on are the half-size deck plates): I suspect the color issue came from shifting from CMYK to RGB and back, so I will try to avoid the RGB step in the future (the future being my FL dice tower). I really should not be having problems with this, but it's been a good eight years since I worked in layout and printing, and I did fake my way through a lot of that... I'll post some pics of my corridor with three assembled cells in this thread soon enough. |

Now these are going to be holding cells right? If so you might wanna try to get rid of the back panel piece, since it has computer gadgets on it and you wouldn't want the detainees to ex-scape  . But other then that it looks great! Keep up the good work and welcome to the kit-bashing crowd!!!

Thanks for the kind words, D999. Actually, I do want them to escape, because otherwise it'd make for one boring gaming session.
I left the electronics bit in for two reasons; a) it looks good and b) it can somehow explain the lack of any facilities in the cell since maybe it somehow transforms parts of the room into bunk, sink and/or waste disposal unit. I started work on a cell unit with built-in bunk and toilet, but that's been put on hold for now. |

Hey, I hate to be a bitch, but is there any chance you could resize that preview a bit? Right now it's a tiny bit too close to actual size... That or kick the resolution down to 75 ppi. Sacretis PS. Lookin' mighty fine BTW. Love to see them all built up... |

The containment cells are indeed great, but I originally wanted smaller rooms for purposes of modularity and then I really needed a cell block for the scenario. I'll actually be using one of the retrofit containment cells (the one without the force field, since such things don't exist in S:69). Three characters will start out in the prison block and then have to spring a fourth from the interrogation room where the containment unit is. You want me to make the preview smaller so as not to be printable? Is that what you're saying? I can certainly overlay something on previews like this in the future if that helps. The DPI shouldn't matter in an online pic, though, only the total pixel count. |

The color change may have been that the color space has changed when you opened the file in (insert editing program here). Nice idea! ~Floyd |
