I’ve been out for awhile, yes I had only been here a short time. New baby in the house kinda makes the world spin around. As noted I finally got around to cleaning up the Super Stretch Limo and getting it to Aleph13. Meanwhile a game I ran just prior to the wee one popping out required me to have some container props for my brand new UM:BoM goodies. Yes, yes I wrote the scenario including the scenery and so on… Anyway point is I decided I needed some containers. So a heavily modified Dumpster lid later and I came up with something. It worked so I made a half dozen or so. Skip several months and I am back at the card stock, see the container PSDs and decide to modify them a bit, add some details and make some different options. |

I love these containers - I have been looking for these forever, it seems. I needed to have some large stacks, but did not want to go through the trouble of building 400 individual containers, so... My first attempt at a KitBash - Borrowing Slymoon's art of course. The side of the stack: The end of the stack: If anyone is interested I can finish this pretty quickly and submit it as a KitBash.[/img] |

I would get this - will need internal bracing but it looks very very useful. ![]() The first 'Batman Returns' fight at the docks will be possible with both these sets! |

Hey, Jim! Two things: First, when you post textures, please shrink the images, so no one can snag 'em. They don't have to be stamp sized - about 500 pixels is good. Second, send it on over! I'll give you some guidelines to make it in-line with the WWG standards - start with the new thread - there's a link there that gives you all you need. Thanks! |

OK, I have finally been able to get back to the large stack of containers. I have all the basics done, but my NEWBEE is showing. How the heck do I add the tabs, and any suggestions on where to place them? Here is what I have (reduced to appropriate forum size): Stack End 1: Stack End 2: Stack Side: Stack Top: I made it so that you could use the same side piece for either side of the stack. |

For large items, the way to think about assembly is the way WWG handles the walls for their buildings. You want each side piece to have one tab (say, on the right hand edge). You want the top piece, if there is room on the page, to have a tab on all four sides. You assemble the initial box by gluing the next side on top of the tab, until you have four sides glued together in a row. Then you can fold each corner, and that brings that last tab around so it gets glued to the first wall. Now you have four walls glued. You then fold the edges on all four top edges, and glue them "inside" the sides. In the end you have a five-sided structure. To give it strength, I would suggest adding a bottom piece which is just plain white, but has the cut-out lines. You can either do a reverse of the top piece (the bottom has four tabes and is glued "inside" the walls), or you could add a bottom edge tab to each wall section. |

Embrace your inner newbie! And listen to Seattle hes got the knowing... It were full-on winter and Mr. Dead chasing them all. But one he couldn't catch. That were Captain Walker. He gathers up a gang, takes to the air and flies to the sky! So they left their homes, said bidey-bye to the high-scrapers and what were left of the knowing, they left behind. |
