As people will tell you, having your own printer is best. But... when you don't (toner/ink outage) or for certain applications print services can be usefull. (read Wormhole : Homeworld) That really isn't a bad qoute, especially if they are willing to let you see and dictate the setting. As mentioned, scaling off, center on. (usually) If you are going to use a print service, walk in with a plan. Have the pages you want on a medium. Tell the attendant what you want with what settings. Bring a ruler. If you tell a merchant you want a 6"x6" print, the exchange is not complete unless they deliver, test prints are thier trouble. Keep in mind that large companies calculate error into profit margin. Know how you want them printed. That aside, research, research, research before you buy a printer setup for this hobby. Find an accurate printer with a good after market ink/toner refill system.
